August (Auggie) is a years old boy who was born with facial deformity and had to go through dozens of surgeries to save his life
Auggie never went to regular school - he was homeschooled- but his parents decided that it's time for him to be enlisted in one because it would be best for his education, also they want him to make friends

Ofcourse being a new kid at a new school is ain't easy specially if you were Auggie. He's trying to show his school friends that he's just like them, with an extraordinary facial appearances.

I really enjoyed reading this book; it was one of my anticipated reads for 2017 (but I read it in Jan 2018), it's really insightfull and heartworming.
I liked that it was told from a kid POV because you get to see how he truely feels and what he's thinking of. I liked the other chapters where other charactrs got to share their thoughts and relationships with August and how it started (Also there wer no adults POV given and that's what kept this book so authentic and pure).

Other kids who suffer like Auggie can see themselves represented and hopefully they get to find their places in the world.

I loved the humar in this book though Auggie had a dark sense of humor sometimes but I loved the way he delivered it.
